Conversion

For cutting-edge companies needing digital media conversion from video or film, FP converts to virtually any digital media: MPEG1, MPEG4, Quick Time, Real Media, Windows Media, Flash, and Pod Casting. FP can also take video from our client's ftp sites or servers to create these digital media files. The resulting files can be distributed via DVDs, external hard drives, or electronic protocol.

Encoding

FP uses the Sorenson Squeeze Compression Suite 4.3, the industry-leading video encoding tool, enabling users to efficiently re-purpose video content for web, CD or DVD application.

Sorenson Squeeze is also the leader for importing and publishing video to the most popular formats in the video industry. Squeeze can easily import digitized video files, reference movies, or capture from DV cameras. Once inside of Squeeze you can easily publish video into the format of your choice and have it automatically sent to an application, to another location on your network, or uploaded to the web via FTP.

High Definition (HD) Encoding Options

Squeeze includes High Definition (HD) encoding options for AVC/H.264, Flash, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, QuickTime, RealMedia, and Windows Media*. Advantages of H.264 include: advanced compression that results in a significant data rate savings; a network abstraction layer designed for efficient transmission of data; and presets for a wide variety of applications ranging from video telephony to high-end broadcasting.

Digital Encoding / Transcoding

FP has the ability to convert D-beta, Betacam SP, 1 inch, VHS, DVD, DVC Pro, S-VHS, and ¾" tape into various digital video formats. FP will set up video files to fit our customer's needs whether it is for DVD, Streaming Video, and Digital non-streaming video.

Capabilities

  • Player specific video files for Windows Media, Real, QuickTime, and Flash.
  • Set up the video files as MPEG1, MPEG4, or H264 MPEG4.
  • Convert video files to High Definition resolutions.
  • Make all digital video screen resolutions to fit the NTSC standard of 720x480 and/or format the video to any resolution the client may specify.
  • Offer Line 21 closed caption conversion to be used for web casting digital files in the following formats:
    • MPEG1 — Captions will be formatted for Windows Media Player.
    • Real Media — Captions will be formatted for Real Player.
    • MPEG4 and H264 MPEG4 — Captions will be formatted for the QuickTime Player. At this present time, QuickTime is the only player supporting MPEG4 and H264 MPEG4.
  • Convert videos for streaming video.
  • Burn the data to a DVD or load the data onto a external hard-drive for the client to load onto their website/server for customer access.
  • Offer various stream sizes to cover the most common internet user's connection speeds.
    • 56K (for dial up users)
    • 112K
    • 256K
    • 384K
    • 512K (for broadband)
    • 768K
    • 1MB
    • Anything higher than 1MB will be used over a network
